About my adventure

It seems that nearly every day my mind recognises a new "problem" that can potentially be solved with modern tech, and over time I have acquired a seemingly limitless list of these ideas.

While I feel blessed to have the creativity to consistently dream, I also feel the burden that a large pile of unsolved problems brings upon a person.

The solution to my problems (literally)

While it would be nice to say that I have found a solution to my creative debt, I unfortunately am yet to find one.

One of the largest mental blockers I frequently come face to face with is the question - "Which project do I start with?".

I never have the answer.

Just do them all...

I recently asked myself:

If I can't decide which direction to take with my vortex of nightmare inducing pit of ideas, why not just tackle all of them?

Would someone "sane" do that?

Probably not, but I don't care, because I have never been one to take a conventional route to tackling problems, and I'm ok with that.

So there we have it. I will tackle at least one project/idea per week with the intention of building healthy habits.

Ok, when do you start?

Well by the time this post is published I probably will have already started.

You can follow my progress both here and over on my Twitter.

What's the format?

I'm glad you asked. Here are some fancy bullet points to outline some of the boundaries I have set myself.

Note: While I will do my best to stick to these guidelines, I will have in place exceptions to protect my health.

  • I will publish one project per week
  • A project will consist of a saas product, personal build or an open source software contribution
  • The deadline every week is 23:59 on Sunday
  • At least one day per week will be spent on managing existing projects
  • Do the bare minimum and don't strive for perfection
  • Share findings every week
  • Be open
  • Be humble
  • Inspire others

This list will likely change shape over time.

I'm super excited to build things and share them with other makers. I love collaboration so feel free to hit me up on Twitter or email (to come soon).

You can also find me over at Weekend club, sharing all kinds of discussion with amazing people.
